I got it for GC specifically because of that and it was great but the controller really killed it. I went back to it recently on a whim and apparently 100%'d it but I don't remember a thing about it while I have strong memories of the first two games.

Same here, except I rented it and was already a fan of the franchise since the 2nd game as a kid.

I wish Mario still made basketball games. They weren't NBA Live/2k/Street/Ballers(well Ballers was trash, but whatever) tier, but they were as fun as any Mario Kart game.

Yes, PC version for me. Midway sports games ruled in this era. NFL Blitz is a close second.
