Futile as it is, I hope for a good, new Mega Man game. No strings attached, no monkey's paw, no stupid tacked-on gimmicks to drag the core gameplay down.

I also want Fire Emblem Switch to be good and please not a sequel to Awakening or Fates. Make it not connected to either of them in any way. I've grown fatigued of this "every game after Awakening is canonically connected to Awakening somehow" trend.

I've been feeling like streaming Metroid games lately. Perhaps when the release date of Samus Returns is closer...

Was going to go with Zero Mission to start with, then stumble my way through Super Metroid after that. If I'm not fatigued by then I'd go on to Metroid Fusion.

I'll take any sort of Mega Man at this point, but as far as sequels go, I think I might prefer Star Force 4 over Battle Network 7. It got snuffed out as soon as it finally started to meet people's standards gameplay-wise, and it's my pipe dream to see it followed up upon and improved further.

jokes aside my biggest problem with Star Force is that it was a step backwards. you said it yourself it took them 3 games to get to what people were expecting gameplay wise. it was a watered down version of Battle Network and even at it's best it didn't offer anything that Battle Network hadn't already done better. it's just an example of trying to fix what wasn't broken.

Yeah. I can't defend it too much gameplay-wise, but I enjoyed the characters and world of Star Force more than Battle Network. The gameplay was awkward to me at first, but I grew to love it. I've never been good at working with chip codes to build folders, at least not until postgame, so I guess I'm in the minority that was alright with them not being a thing anymore.

For some reason I've never been able to get myself to 100% (get all title screen stars) any Battle Network game, but I've done it for all three of the Star Force games Twice on SF2

that's probably because the Star Force games were a lot easier than the Battle Network games. The post game content in BN was brutal i don't think i ever beat the final version of Bass in BN3.

Yeah, I don't really care about sony exclusives anymore. Last time it hurt me not being able to play one was Red Dead Redemption but now the sequel is coming to PC.
I sold my PS4 and switched to PC gaming anyways.
