Melon head is decent but I prefer to build johnny as an annoying tank. The build consists of annoying the enemy so that they target only you then tanking all the damage by hiding in the birdhouse with the occasional HEE-HAW to remind them you're still there. Then all you need is a support class like Nazz to heal you up and a damage class like discipline hat Rolf and you've got yourself an effective team.

I run Carl, his charisma is enough to solo every area with minimal combat. It worked wonders in Downtown with all those people around. They just let me do whatever I wanted.
