Game's writing is laughably bad, with very few jokes landing and most making you cringe (see Hammerlock, Tiny Tina, Torgue after they pussified him to make an unfunny joke in TPS, half of the things Handsome Jack says, etc.) Artstyle, locations, and actual gunplay are pretty decent until you get to UVHM where everything turns into a slog. DLC offered plenty of content as well.

Hoping that Borderlands 3 turns out for the better because 2 felt like what Destiny should have been; a lengthy campaign with multiple characters that feel distinct and THEN raid bosses for crazy people who want the absolute optimal gear.

I mean I like this game ( nowhere near as entertaining as the first game) but its not a deep game at all.
Its the weakest out of all of the main series games and it suffered from the devs making the drop rates intentionally shitty and from their DLC shenanigans.
Although I dont get why Anthony Burch gets so much hate. Id ask why but he wasnt the main writer for the games story so who cares?

Ugh, dood, the comedy in the first game wasnt world class to begin with. Honestly, the comedy in these games are kinda hit and miss. Two wasnt that big of a step down, frankly. Three seemed more serious game with goofy characters in it occasionally.

This is even more annoying as when accepting mulitple quests, you can't choose what quest you want to track until the fucking NPC shuts up about the quest you just accepted from them

It took only the worst parts of BL1 while continued with nothing of what made BL1 great.

I never understood the hate. I always figured it was just because BL2 was 'too popular'.

also the bosses are really shit


oh and it isn't even fun with friends since there's barely any teamwork involved besides reviving each other
