I didn't say it's a game you can play for more than 10 hours, but it has interesting PvP which is worth trying. I don't play it myself since I lost all hope in the devs, but if you're new it's not as bad.

DotA 2 and Path of Exile are definitely the best F2P games, to the point that they're significantly better than everything else I can think of.

Let it Die is pretty fun
Cranks up the bullshit past floor 20, though, and a lot of people drop it there

If you like FPS, then I'd give Fistfull of Frags a shot. It has really interesting weapon mechanics, so I'm actually going to try it out myself as well.
