I fucking love this episode.

>a game
I think you mean a shitty anime with QTEs
It was at this moment I wanted Sundowner more dead than that edgy monsoon fag for his bullshit.

>be excited for this game
>360 RROD's for the third time and dies
>>381722683
>shitty
QTE bullshit and barely a game, definitely. But that story was magnanimous.

he said it was a shit game but that apparently that doesn't matter because "muh story"
>>381722483
>>381722483
It was a good movie.
>>381725316
He specifically stated that the story was shitty, anon disagreed though agreed that the game was bad. kys
>>381722483
Im surprised this type of game didn't take of. It seems like a really easy model to make, akin to walking simulator

you can call Asura's Wrath just about whatever you want but "shitty" is crossing the line
whatever it was it was fantastic

>>381722683
hit post before actually typing my post out:
You can call it an anime instead of a game if you want but it certainly wasn't shitty

its your fault you fuck

I think the only reason asuras wrath "worked" and, worked being a strong term since it received so much hate on release. Is because they made the most movie-styled game to date, where most all gameplay was just a qte, but it was the most action packed, over the top, absolutely fucking absurd qte cutscenes you could have, without a doubt the most CUHRAYZEE, absolute giant-scale shit in a game considering half the bosses were the size of a planet, or an actual planet itself, or the god of all creation (I still fucking love that fight, christ it's so good.) so anyone who wanted to try the same style of game realized "well, how do we one-up that kind of shit? we cant get crazier than that." and a few things tried, like the order 1869 or whatever it was, but nobody gave a shit because it was the most boring, bland "oh we shot a werewolf" shit. There was also things like that one girl who had a ghost friend that did shit for her or something? I physically cant even remember the game
This is a giant, shittily writen tl;dr. but my point being, is that nothing can top asuras wrath because it stepped head-first into the "qte movie" genre and at the same time made the most ridiculous bullshit you could ever do with that genre, in one fell swoop.
it started it, and it ended it, just like that.
>>381722483
Dark Souls 1 (but really, all of them apply, even 2) tutorial level comes to mind.
>>381722483
If you don't recognize this or immediately agree, you need to get the fuck off 4chan.
>Wall running super fast through the whole thing on hardest difficulty because the enemies chew you up in seconds if they are alerted
I can't believe this campaign was so good, I didn't even want it to be there.
>>381730173
To be honest I had a lot more fun with Titanfall 2's singleplayer than I expected.
My only real gripe is that it felt like I was walking on foot a little too much. I would have appreciated more mech combat segments but other than that it was a pretty solid FPS.
>>381730325
It definetly could of used more moments where you were going between mech and infantry combat but I was more surprised that they actually encouraged and designed around the movement, it disarmed my cynicism very quickly after the intro level.
>>381722483
So much suffering the game.
>>381722682
what the fuck, its like gurren lagann with god of war, i don't have a ps3/xbox 360, can i just watch a lets play or something seems fun.
>>381722483
god damn I love asuras wrath
that game is just so much fun, the rage he feels makes kratos look like an elementary schooler that dropped his ice cream
>>381731048
desu I would definitely just watch a let's play. The actual gameplay itself is meh-tier, not bad but not worth hunting down a copy for.
Also if I recall the true ending is locked behind fucking DLC.
>>381728473
I also liked that he took down an entire fucking space armada with nothing but punches and screams.
>yfw you get to the Augus fight and this starts playing
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xyCYvoOEBbw
>>381731257
Yeah, it has some Panzer-Dragoon lite segments that are kinda neat, but you definitely spend more time watching than playing. Granted, the game never tricks you into thinking otherwise so I'm not sure what /v/ gets so bootybusted about.

there is literally nothing wrong with QTE's
MvCI DLC when
>>381723706
>magnanimous
very generous or forgiving, especially toward a rival or someone less powerful than oneself.
Asura's story is the opposite of magnanimous
>>381731550
Once Marvel makes a movie out of it.
>>381731146
Kratos has always felt like a whiny brat to me. Especially in 2 and 3 when his only grievance is that Zeus made him stop slaughtering people for literally no reason. But even in the first game he kind of brought his family's death on himself with how kill-crazy he was.
Asura's anger is empathetic, he's angry because someone innocent is being actively exploited. He doesn't give a single fuck what anyone does to him personally, but he'll rip you in half if you touch Mithra. Meanwhile Kratos frequently kills innocent people for no reason besides muh angst.
>>381723706
i dont think you know what that word means
>>381731652
Protection > Vengeance, it would seem.
>>381729342
That tutorial was a seriously good intro to the series. If you know what you're doing, there's nothing to it but if it catches you by surprise, you're fucked.
