I almost always make sure to wear the canon outfit depicted on promotional material where possible even if it's weaker than other armors. More so in final boss fights and story related cutscenes.
Disable the HUD and background music whenever possible.
A surprising amount of games still work well after disabling the HUD.

Ok, HUD I kind of understand, but disabling the music? Why would you ever do that?

Not him but i've heard people kind of enjoyed just walking about in The Witcher 3 with the music off. Apparently there's a lot of good sound that just gets obscured for the most part.

Either I just enjoy listening to other background sounds or I'm listening to my own playlist.
I play for an hour, and then I take a 10 min break

Disgusting
I mean whatever suits you but I think you're missing out on a lot of things a game wants to do this way. Might try >>381720473 though, sounds interesting

Sometimes a game can have top tier ambience but only one short, shitty music track on loop.

I always play in windowed mode. Don't like not being able to see the rest of what's going on.
>Game has food items you can eat but give no meaningful benefit to you
>Make sure my character eats 3 square meals a day

It's really not as compulsive as I made it sound, I usually play for a few hours with the OST on unless it's an open world RPG like Witcher or TES, but I eventually I find myself playing other music I like instead.

Same.
Haven't replayed most souls games because I just want to be a knight with sword and board.

I find magic in most games completely uninteresting. Except for fucking Tibia, I don't remember actually liking magic on vidya.
Try to devise the most dumbass gimmick strategy possible and beat the game that way.
Still need to get around to S-Ranking Phantom Pain while only using grenades.
