>claiming to have 'casual filters' in a game where you can just go grind and level up
Yeah, sure buddy
>>381700087
Jokes on you, I gotthe true ending.

>not doing low level runs of JRPGs
>>381701705
>Chrono Trigger
>grinding
lol
obligatory with the remake seeing all the streamers fuck up on it
>>381701584
>decide to ditch Chrono after Zeal and use three characters you didn't used that much
>Lucca, Robo and Frog
>Frog and Robo use physical attacks and occasionally heal the party
>give Lucca the helmet and prism dress and a gold stud
>watch her do insane damage with Flare
>battles just become "kill some time until Lucca flares"
>my fucking face destroying bosses one by one to the point where even the final Lavos battle was easy as fuck
>>381701705
>Grinding
>Not casual as fuck
Probably the only "feature" more casual than grinding is savescumming.

i really need to do a playthrough with them. my endgame party was Crono, Magus and Marle. Crono the physical beast, Magus could pump out crazy magic damage and was still a decent damage dealer and Marle could haste the party and still heal. even when she ran out of MP she was a good Elixir slut.

>halp! I don't know what "casual filter" means
>>381702615
I suggest sticking with the SNES game and not the DS one by the way, the new area they introduced is fucking awful and completely miss the point of what made Chrono Trigger good by having you constantly backtracking some shitty mountain with unavoidable enemies
There aren't any casual filters in chrono trigger. If there were, the game wouldn't be so widely acclaimed.

I actually had trouble with Magus recently, I underestimated just how much HP he had
>>381702446
I just decimated the endgame bosses with Crono, Lucca and Magus firing off their ultimate solo magic spells and healing item spam.
Lucca best girl.

>magus
Going by super autist rules, CT didn't have any casual flters since all the hard bosses are final bosses/endgame content/optional etc.Oh wait I just remembered, Dalton exists.

Dropped it way before that, can't stand the controls and it had no appeal for me, going to try the 3D ones soon.

Playing Super Metroid for the first time as an adult with years of experience with video game level design, there was no chance of ever doing anything but coming to the only possible conclusion that this short passage through Maridia could only mean you could somehow pass through the glass and enter the place from there, the only question was which item you would need for it. I would love to hear what kid me would have thought about this game in general, though.

Playing SM as a kid I remember thinking that area was just foreshadowing and you would later pass behind the room while exploring it, I never expected that one part of the map in particular being destruct-able
