It's Burnout. It's supposed to be arcade-y as fuck.
>>
>>381687941
EA don't believe in remasters so never ever
>>
A lot. My shitty toaster struggles to emulate it and I pirated Burnout Paradise last night because I had the urge to play Takedown. Paradise is fucking shit though.
>>
>>381687941
Nigger what? People will happily pay $60 USD for a remaster of that game on the current generation platformss, yes that includes the switch.
>>
Full price. It's one of the games that will really benefit from a remaster.

Though knowing EA they will find some way to fuck it up.
>>
>>381687941
It seems to run find on pcsx2, so I can already play it if your video is anything to go by. Racing games aren't really my thing though, so I probably wouldn't buy it even if it got remastered.
>>
>>381688276
that was obvious bait my anon
>>
>>381687941
Full price. Just upres it and I'm good.
But my guess is that they would have to get the copyright to all of the 40 songs again.

Perfect arcade racer. It's a shame the series could never match it again. Couldn't get into the later titles at all. Especialy Paradise was way too different.

biggest flaw is that you have to constantly check your map unless you put enough time in to learn the races. was my problem with midnight club LA too, should have used arrows like NFS games

legit didn't notice (or don't remember?). played the game on a 15'6 lappy when it released so it could be either

When your auto is damaged you can't see the lights and have to hear the sounds.
But it still helps, you can avoid checking costantly the minimap.

Top part of the screen has street names and it blinks when you need to turn, your car also has it's blinkers on. I figured this out when I was 12, anon.

>there will never be a game as perfect as burnout 3

What's the fucking point? I'm not even shitposting or memeing right now, nothing has come close to how perfect THPS3 and Burnout 3 are. It's such a damn shame to think I reached the peak of my gaming experience when I was fucking 7. I want to go back and tell little me that nothing is going to get better, only disappointment will follow, and your hobby will just become a shell of what it once was.

Man I remember playing the shut out of this game with my cousin. I wish I could see how many hours I put into it. Easily in my top ten favorite games. I have some unfavorable opinions here but I'll just come out and say them. I hated revenge. Traffic checking made everything far too easy and I noticed they tuned the weight and physics to be slightly, ever so slightly, "realistic". It was very noticeable when you took down someone. You could no longer bash them to the moon. A big appeal for 3 was driving at 5000mph into another racer and sending them to another solar system. My final and second opinion is that burnout paradise was a very enjoyable game. It's literally just burnout in an open world. The crash mode was a little odd, but it was better than nothinf. I honestly can't think of many things I hated about it. The soft body physics are still some of the best I've seen in a car game, the option of constant competition with each road you went down made just fucking around more enjoyable, you could start an event from any direction and the game would build the track accordingly, online was tight as FUCK, especially that cops and robbers mode. That's all I gotta day, sorry for the blog post.

My biggest problem with Burnout Paradise is that it's way to fucking easy, anytime you bash into another racer they suddenly have a serious death wish and plow into the nearest wall, I'd be walking out of road rages with 20 takedowns on my belt in the starter vehicle. In Burnout 3 you were literally fighting with other cars and it felt intense at times, when you took someone out it felt like an event in, Paradise it just feels standard especially when it uses the same 4 camera angles for a takedown. The takedown camera doesn't fucking stop in that game, no matter how quickly you take someone out it will always play a takedown cinematic which ruins the flow. The soundtrack was mediocre like Burnout: Revenge and Dominator, it was okay but there were no tracks nearly as memorable as Breathing, Here I Am, or Orpheus. Races are easy as hell too, there's no real rubber-banding in the game so once you get a mile ahead of the competition they might as well just give you the win, those faggots aren't catching up and they can't keep up if you're fast enough. Burnout Paradise is okay, albeit extremely flawed. Nothing will ever be as great as Burnout 3 and Criterion is under total EA control, all they do is help out with their main AAA titles like Battlefront II. Just fucking kill me.

I'll agree with that. I haven't played it in awhile so I forgot about the difficulty. It was pretty easy. Criterion is dead unfortunately, pretty sure it's ghost games. However a bunch of OG Criterion boys and gals formed a studio called Three Fields Entertainment. So far both of their games look pretty mediocre. All I know is the first one they made got lukewarm reviews. Their new game is literally just crash mode, but it looks... eh... They said when they get the proper funding they want to make a proper car game. So there's some hope at least :/
