witcher 3 has a really great soundtrack, story, graphics, writing, etc, but the actual gameplay made me drop it

Actually, my problem with the Witcher 3 combat is that it wasn't really "senseless" enough. It would have been more fun if the combat was like a traditional beat em up. Instead, we get an awkward action/RPG mix that is too simple to feel like it has RPG-depth, but too fumbly to feel fun and loose like a beat em up. So it's this awkward mix of both. I would have preferred it if it was more DMC-ish.

The RPG elements often just seem to get in the way of this game. I understand it's a big part of the series in general, but at this point they need to be honest about what type of game they're trying to make. I say make the combat even more action-oriented and get rid of the awkward menus.

it's like they took the gameplay of another game and merged it with an incompatible engine

cyberpunk 2077 is seriously their last chance to make a game with good combat mechanics

i know they hired the lead gameplay designer from quantum break, did anyone here play that game? if the combat was good in that game it probably will be in cyberpunk
