Just look at the fucking Steam store. I bet you fags can't even tell how absolutely shit the majority of the marketplace is. Clearly you can't, since you're buying up tons of trash games and forcing them to the top of all recommended lists, while the best games (usual the multiplats) get swept under the rug and often get reviewed negatively. Meanwhile, you give positive reviews to shitty college student projects because "well he was just one guy so this is commendable effort!!!" You fucking review games based on the efforts of their devs, not on the quality of the games (which is a joke in itself since most devs working at a big studio undeniably worked much harder to get in that position than some idiot still in college or living with his parents).

Steam looks like a god damn mobile app store now. No one on Steam seems capable of differentiating between quality and shovelware. Everyone's standards are all over the place. And if you look at the details like the written player guides and message boards, the quality of discussion and secret sharing is nothing like it used to be, like early 21st century on gamefaqs and such. No one on Steam has the balls or creative ingenuity that we used to have.

Games will die, but not because the industry has gotten worse, but because the players have.
