I've sent him an email thanking him for not being another shit streamer that pollutes his screen with obnoxious horseshit and doing his best to be calm. I also thanked him for being one of the only people on the internet to ban all talk about the US election or either candidate because VIDEO GAMES.

it's really true. i still recognize usernames in the twitch chat from the old chat that have been regulars since 2012 when i first came there. i stopped watching for years and was kind of surprised that the place changed so much but the core of people that watched it really didn't. twitch really boosted the viewership so the chat isn't slow like those old days, so it doesn't really feel the same, and i can't bring myself to want to talk to these people.

There were some youtubers I used to enjoy watching when I had some free time and I was excited when they started streaming because it was long-form content that lasted a while and worked well as background noise. Then they started getting butthurt about advice being put in the chat or people talking about other streamers and started putting cancerous boarders around the screen. Vinny at least doesn't do either of those things often (if ever). There are even some occasions when I've caught a stream live and some chat members are making not-to-subtle racist jokes without being banned/deleted.
