If the switch offer proper virtual console games, I want to be able to play and display them through Animal Crossing

I know they won't give games out for free anymore like they did on the Gamecube, but I want to display Zelda for BED in my Zelda room, and it would be the titties to have someone visit my town, and play a 2 player SNES game with them. Hell, it'd be a nice way to demo games, by trying out a friends.

No mayor crap. I want to live in a cozy town, not run one, with the exception of villager placement. That way they stop obliterating the landscape. More landscaping options. That's one thing that was lost from population growing to all the games that followed. Boring flat towns. More pointless things in the game. It would be nice to just dick around in town messing with the ball, or the leaf piles.

Maybe some made up holidays to help pad out the calendar year. Stuff to do inbetween the big holidays other than fishing, and bug catching.

They have the island as a vacation-like spot, so maybe they should have more vacation locations. Maybe give Kapp'n a seaplane instead of a boat.

And above everything else, more villager interactions. More dialogue, more errands, more do with house guests than just stand around.

There are a lot of little things they could do to help improve the overall feel of the game, if they bothered.

The only interesting thing about Happy Home Designer was the landscaping and furniture outside the house. Definitely bring in that aspect to the main games, there's no reason with the current capabilities that towns can't be bigger and have yards. Also that you could have houses right near water/beaches. I think it'd be cool if every city wasn't more or less the same with things shuffled around, but if there were actually some villages that are more rocky, others more tropical, etc. This would incentivize visiting other people online. Like in pokemon where there's actually stuff you can't get without trading, it'd be cool if there's items and fruit you have to get by visiting places different from your own, like the fruit situation already has but more elaborate. I love all the core aspects of AC, so really it's just a matter of expanding things. Usually I put down the game when it starts to feel like i've run out of new content.

I also feel like something that's always been an issue is that it always feels like there's less to do in winter than other seasons. There should be more interesting stuff to the tune of the snowballs/snowmen, interesting ideas like that. Maybe actually let you build snow sculptures and your own igloos and other neat things. Areas that ice over that you can skate on. I also think there should be more neat easter eggs at odd hours of the night. I know this is a kid game for kids but even kids go to school during the day, so having more content in early morning and late evening (times most people can actually play before/after work/school) has always been a no-brainer to me.

They could have a more seamless acre system, since they no longer have technical limitations. Have designated squares. Through 80% of the square, the camera is static. As you approach an edge, the camera starts to switch, and then when you get far enough into the next square, it snaps into place for that acre.

That won't happen, though, so I just hope that they do some sort of top-down view. Maybe they can even have a camera angling button, where you can tilt the view to include the sky, such as if you hear certain sound cues. Most of the time, though, the sky shows nothing, and the whole rolling log style is shit.
