It might just be me, but the events themselves actually seem really comfy. Sure, they seem like they are full of awkward losers, but that's part of the charm. Everyone's a degenerate and there's no need to try and put on some facade of being a cool dude or some shit. Something about sitting in a room watching someone do well at a videogame and just chilling with people really jives my jimmes with joy.

I'd never speedrun anything myself though. I can't even fathom how people get as good as they do, let alone beat games quickly myself.

Even after practicing for hours I can't even do a fucking half circle technique in a fighting game or some shit half the game, and still miss platforms at times in simple platformers.
