How about some love for this, choice weapon for anyone with an intense distaste for beasts?

I skipped it first playthrough cus the tonitrus is so bad and this seemed like just a redux at first glance, but oh fuckin boy was I wrong. Most satisfying feeling strength weapon in the game, yes even moreso than Kirkhammer. The primed forward R1 is the single best feeling move in the game

Here's my second choice: Kyle Katarn's lightsaber from Jedi Outcast. I thought it was so fucking cool that you could throw your saber, deactivate it, watch the hilt fly off somewhere and run back to collect it. I probably spent hours in that game just dicking around with lightsaber mechanics. Also its model is very cool.

smaller one is pretty much a parrying dagger/tanto.

Remember, Cainhurst took the concept of eastern blades from a traveler and remanufactured them with an edwardian twist.

The smaller being a repurposed italian parrying dagger or cavalry saber reshaped like a tanto isnt far off from the way this game presents cainhurst lore.

That said, most parrying daggers were straight, and mainly nips exclusively used curved utility knives irl.

unfortunately, it doesnt pay off till late/endgame with the 32% blunt gems.

however it has a fuckton of utility with the stagger it can induce with the mashed out r1s, the R2, and ESPECIALLY the second r2 attack that comes out after a full charged r2.

That one not only hits like a truck but even knocks back GIANT enemies.

Its great for pvp, but only if you have the best gems.

Well I always used straight swords in Dark Souls except for the occasional affair with a spear, so I actually didn't mind getting a sword that would ground me in the unfamiliar combat environment of BB.

Plus I spent most of the early/mid game using the Threaded Cane, which was quite the change of pace since I almost always used it in whip form.

Holy moonlight untransformed has probably the best moveset for any of the sword style weapons.

Best for a str build when untransformed.

Real talk I wish there was at least a brief options in Dark Souls where we could use these giant weapons as the characters that wielded them. It just feels weird to use these oversized weapons and knowing they have so much more potential in the hands of characters that they're "normal" sized for.

Just got back into titanfall 2 and this gun is so fucking good. One shots people and is fun to use because it fires a projectile so you actually have to lead the target.

just like the BKS, 1 handing it is fucking great for crowd control or hitting dodgy enemies, and 2 handing it is great for vertical reach and increased damage, the Moonlight has better R2s though (while the BKS's are only useful for sneak attacks or trying to make people desperate)

OFF R2 poking has great range and damage

ON L2 has great range and AoE and damage, and good stagger, charged R2s are still useful if enemies dodge because you still get the energy wave out (unless they jumped far as fuck), and if they're close in you push R2 again and bam, 2500ish damage and a most likely stagger, and all this shit using Quicksilver which is rather useless imo except for some enemies with parry windows that make sense (personally I'd rather learn to dodge enemies and punish them than keep trying to find their parry windows and getting hit in the face while doing it)

and to top all that, it looks cool both ON and OFF

I still keep a Saw Cleaver ready for the hardest of enemies that get through my attacks and have little openings, but most of the time I'm playing Holy Moonlight
