The core gameplay is great, and I got about a month's worth of enjoyment out of the game, but the lack of balance and connectivity patches eventually burnt me out. This game should've been a $40 multiplayer only title with dedicated servers.

The game doesn't need to be PURE offense. The game as it stands is piss easy to defend, so there's not as much risk involved in taking a defensive approach. There needs to be an equal balance in skill/difficulty between offense and defense

offense is completely dogshit unless you have unreactable lights so pure defense is the best way to play. also servers are dogshit and you often dont get your rewards/xp

I don't think you're quite picking up on my point exactly, lads, yeah ledging is part of the game and yeah you can counter it, but it was the absolutely disgusting reliance on it that I saw for the month of two I played, it just seemed like it got really bad. It's not fun to play against someone just fishing for a throw.

Multiplayer issues aside, this game had the potential for some seriously fun coop modes. Siege, Horde, Assault, basic unintuitive modes such as these would have greatly improved the game imo.

I also think they missed out on the opportunity to create a truly engaging single player experience. Maybe some RPG elements, create your own warrior, a large open map, etc. These are all old and tired ideas but the core gameplay was so good I honestly think this game would of benefited from them had it's focus on been on PvP.
