It's possible. Hyrule Warriors Legends incorporated both a fast travel mechanic and character switching (as well as command issuing to the characters you weren't currently playing as) to help alleviate the battlefield marathon.

While it's not necessarily the direction I would have gone for, they at least are doing something worth making an actual sequel for which can't be said for most DW games.

Fairly excited about it, even though it might go belly up. I fear with it going open world they will double down on the "we need more stuff, quality be damned" thing they have been doing. I prefer less choice but better more tight gameplay rather than only real difference between characters being their visuals and a special attack or two.

These days I think Capcom are too poor to really do much that's not related to their main series.

I just wish they released the Basara games in English. Sengoku Basara 3 can and showered me with fun, then fucked off leaving me horny and alone as fast as it arrived.

Samurai Heroes still hurts. They spent a lot of effort localising it and almost nothing advertising it. Then reviewers treated it as just another musou game and so he we are, not even Utage coming out.

The worst part is, if they'd stuck with the original localisation changes and called it Devil Kings 2, western audiences would've probably have been more favorable instead of seeing it as yet another Warriors game for that niche audience.

I hope this time they got a guy working on the AI.
It's really fucking retarded how the enemies just stare at you instead of attacking.

I wish they made the officer fights more fun and not just "repeatedly hack at them for half a minute, walk away a bit when they do a musou, continue hacking them for half a minute, repeat for every officer"

I pretty much only get hurt from dudes behind the camera. It's almost impossible to get hit, and instead of making officers fun to fight they just give them more health which is insane since the games don't have the combat for long term one on one fighting.

God I hated Ultimate on DW8XL on Vita. If you fight more than one playable general at a time, there's always that one guy who activates his Musou off camera without an activation sound, so you just get OHKO with zero warning.
