The current sale price is honestly a STEAL for what you would be getting. I would personally feel bad about only giving 20 bucks to the devs.

The game is still in early-access, yet it is WAY more complete than some AAA titles that cost $60 on release. Don't believe me? Simply go on Youtube and watch some gameplay videos... you will be STUNNED.

Now, unlike other early-access game developers, the Squad ones actually DELIVERED. What? What's that, you're saying I am probably working for them, and you don't believe my statement? Fair enough. Then, a simple visit to their website will show you WEEKLY updates on what's going on with the game.

More weapons, more factions, more mechanics, more vehicles... and ALREADY like 6-7 NEW maps being tested, almost ready for release!

And guess what?

There is also ALREADY a full conversion World War II mod for the game... while the original game is still in early-access!

Anyways, if there is ONE game you should buy this year--on sale or not--it's without a single doubt the game SQUAD.

You can put an IED on a motorbike or car and ISIS it up
Player created spawns mean a common meta is sometimes repeated, but every game can develop differently based on how a team decides to attack and defend each area of the map

Cons
A few dumb people or griefers can cripple a team of 40 players because of how critical vehicles are on some maps
Big human waves are often the most effective method of attack, diminishing the idea of the game as "tactical"
You need to be communicative and smart to succeed, most gamers are one or the other, rarely both

these games are about friends. don't let the teens and tweens put you off, they tend to congregate together in packs with massive catch all clans. avoid those servers, find a buddy and make a squad. play for team wins and you'll have some good times

one bad part is new people who pollute squad leader channel with bad ideas or bitch at the map when they're clearly new to the game and don't understand the mechanics.

after a few years, you can glance at a map and what might appear to be a retarded squad to someone new is clearly some dude moving his boys to flank a hab or something like this.

pr also had the option to mute with hotkey, so you can listen for steps, and commander role to distill some spam. squad leaders also used squad-squad channels more frequently, instead of all squads. the net effect is important shit gets stepped on, non-important shit gets broadcasted to 5 leaders, and 1 idiot bitches about clearly smart play. leaving 2 actually good squads.

well to be fair, most jet maps were relatively balanced. if you happened to have a set of bad pilots get picked alone, then yeah, you were bombed back to main some games, but same goes for attack heli. bijar, kashan, silent all come to mind, and all 3 had both jet and heli layers. cas in general made difficult pushes against down-turret armor trivial, and picked off air trans. once you killed maybe a single air trans and owned their logi's, what's left? spawn in main
