Also spyro thread

seems about right. first had the best levels though.
Wow, I must be the few who likes Spyro 2 the least. Personally thought it overdid it with all the Minigames to get the key items.
I prefer 3 because it has a good balance between the minigames and finding the key items yourself.I also loved playing as all the side characters. Sheila was my favorite. dat jump

3 is also my favorite
>>381650409
Yep.

You're pretty much the only person I've ever heard say thatI respect you for having a different opinion on /v/
Has anyone heard about the Classic Spyro collector's figure by First4Figures? It's looking pretty sweet. It's due to come out Q3 this year.
It's officially licensed by Activision, by the way. Thank fuck it's not the Skylander's one.
Is there hope for SPyro next year?
Everything in 1, besides the music, has aged like milk. 2 is such a jump in quality, and 3 continues that. Each game is better than the last.

they acknowledged his existence. looks like crash will do great so maybe. they said to keep asking.

Good level design doesn't age.

How is this even disputable? They're literally the same game, but with more stuff added and nothing removed from chapter to chapter (except after 3 of course).
>>381650409
This is correct.
>>381651084
Playing as characters who aren't spyro is what I didn't like about that one.
>>381650409
I had this argument with my girlfriend the other day, she thinks 2 is the worse do you think that's means for termination?
>>381652552
the levels are some of the best in the series. supercharge hell was great too.

The games only get better and better in my opinion but I can see why some prefer 2 over 3. Ripto was a better and much more entertaining antagonist than The Sorceress too.
>>381650409
Yup.

Spyro 1's levels were top shelf. Some complain that they're too large and empty, but I thought that added to the atmosphere. Besides spyro is a fast little guy, he can speed through levels pretty quick. Some spyro 2 levels felt cramped at times, but never really had that problem in 1 though.

I'll give you that most of the levels were well designed. It's been a while since I've played the game.
But that first level, in the maze? It's just two circles. And the challenge levels never felt rewarding, just another level.
3 was best at making you feel rewarded.

WHY IS HE SO NERVOUS?????????
>>381653160
>they're too large and empty
banjo tooie had this problem, spyro really didn't
we need this ps4 trilogy guys
That sense of accomplishment when you finally figure out how to chain the speed ramps together to get that egg thief.
>>381653343
the later games should have had more supercharge obstacles
>>381653343
Or how to chain them to get the "hidden" dragon far away
>>381653182
First level in the maze? That's the hub world mate
>>381653343
Spend like a hour trying to figure that out, very good feel once you get it.Too bad i still havent figured how to get to the fucking third dragon
>>381653659
I think he means Dark Hollow
>>381651084
You're not alone there. On the second playthrough Sgt. Bird was a lot more fun than when I first played the game.
I liked this game
3 was the only one i played, it was great
