what is your favourite M&L game, and why?

Been thinking about trying these series.

The thing is, the remake for superstar saga looks to be quite different to the original. If I play BiS, won't it be a "downgraded" experience mechanically?

I was planning to play SS > BiS > DT > PJ as I heard partners in time was shite.

SS > BiS > DT > PJ > PiT

I hate how SSDX is reusing the other 3DS assets, it's fucking lame.

PiT is the worst in the series but it's by no means a bad game. Most of us were just immensely disappointed because SS raised the bar way too fucking high.

SS because it had the best battle system, pacing, and I have nostalgia for it.

BiS close second for best soundtrack and Bowser in terms of everything.

Found BiS for cheap yesterday and just got into the series. Although the tutorials are lengthy it is pretty fun, makes me want to get a 3DS for DT and SSS.

For whatever reason PiT is more expensive than BiS/DT here.

SSS > BIS > DT = PJ > PiT

I don't know if I'm going to buy SSDX. I might if it has more extra content than just Bowser's Minions (boss battle mode, hard mode, sound test).

none of them. Mario rpgs haven't been good since the original.

And then learning a bit too late about Chrono Trigger

SS is the only one I've played. What am I missing out on?

Try being a gamer in Russia in the 90s/early 2000s. I've barely acquired a Genesis by the time PS2 came out. Shit was still cash, but as a result I have nostalgia for games that are literally a decade older than me.
