what did you think of fallout 3?

I liked it.

Great for it's time, aged like milk. Great formula, mediocre execution.

It was the first game I played after getting my 360 when I was 14 and it blew my mind. I can look back at it and see it's not perfect but I still love it. The atmosphere is so crushing.

its still the best "game" in the elderscrolls series, because it has a lot of environment variety, and a very powerful progression system

I love games that let you slowly become overpowered, without making it too silly

fools can't acknowledge that, because they think their morrowinds and new vegases are important cultural milestones

Sadly is aged like shit and I rather play FO4 or SKYRIM.

For a story driven RPG it had some pretty terrible writing. It was mostly hype that got me into since we hadn't had a proper fallout game in many years.

Decent game overall. It had a bad story, but it was a good rpg in general(unlike Fallout 4). However, I don't consider it a true sequel to Fallout 1&2 as those games were made by different people(as I'm sure you all know. If you don't, what are you doing here?). Fallout New Vegas is the real Fallout 3 in my opinion, it carried the true "vibe" of the originals.
