Yo, I gave my PS3 to my dad (67) bcause he needed a DVD / video player. He also asked for games.
My only memory of him actually playing games was back in the 90s when I watched him play Monkey Island. Obviously he's not used to holding a controller and doesn't have any sense of button layouts, so I wanna go easy on the controls. I was thinking something like Walking Dead but I also want him to have something more arcade-ish.
Little Big Planet
3d Dot Game Heroes
definitely others just can't be assed to look at anything except the pile in my room
Just give him story based western games, he's old
Stuff like TWD, uncharted (not 4), TLoU

>just can't be assed to look
precisely why I came here to ask
Whatever you do don't give him any First Oerson Games, old people simply cannot understand how they work. Give him other genres first.

Have you ever played Uncharted?
It's a relatively fast paced third person shooter, you need both sticks going at once, shoulder buttons and face buttons to play properally. It's nothing like The Walking Dead

Yeah, Uncharted might be a little too busy for the ol' noggin. How much does TLoU hold your hand on the easiest difficulty?

LBP seems perfect for some easygoing platforming

LA Noire for that adventure game feel.
You can even skip the combat in that game.
Then...PacMan Championship edition, or maybe Braid?

mgs4
Maybe something like Journey? LA Noire as well if he likes crime dramas as someone said above.

Let him play some David Cage games. Those are basically dumbed down point and click adventures.

heavy rain its a movie he will enjoy it
>>381642593
All those "movie" games are probably solid, Heavy Rain, Beyond Two Souls, etc. A lot of the Telltale stuff should be on PS3 as well.
Yeah probably Heavy Rain. Seems like a story that older people could enjoy
The QTEs in Heavy Rain might be a bit much
