well, 1 had that initial wow factor, but 2 is more balanced and has better endings.
plus, the little sisters were hideous monsters in 1. no reason to empathize with them.
and speaking of which, those sequences in 2 where you played as them were incredible. I'd love a survival horror type game like that, where you're in this dilapidated world and vulnerable and have to scrounge for supplies.
