Oh, right. You can use the left stick for movement, or turn the stick off so you can use L3 as a button input without accidentally moving.

Tekken 8 is gonna have actual endings for each character just like the previous games, unlike Tekken 7.

They do this every game. The first game on a new console is trying shit out, the second game is tuning it and the last game is the best. Tekken 3 was the best of that console, Tekken 5 was the best of that console, TTT2 was the best, even though it was the second game, Revolution is the odd one out because it's free to play trash.

After trying some pads I went for a keyboard as well. I ended up with A, S, D for left, down, and right. Then 4, 8, 0, and 9 on the numpad for 1, 2, 3, and 4.

I ended up binding left shift and Num+ to the bumper buttons so I could use menus.

For guest char one, I'd definitely want to see Velvet, Berseria's different combo artes would work beautifully in Tekken and I really want to see her daemon arm matched up against Devil Jin or Akuma on the EVO main stage. Guest char two definitely needs to be Geese Howard, even with Eliza, there's not enough Reppuu Ken in the game.

In reality, the two chars will probably end up being another Street Fighter and maybe a Soul Calibur rep.

King the first is dead, Armour King the first is dead, Kuma the first is dead, Jinpachi is dead. Heihachi is dead, period. There is absolutely no one they would spend an entire game saying 'this is it, the conclusion to the mishima saga, where someone dies for good' and have him come back in the next game.

It was very fucking obvious from the final chapter that Kazuya properly killed him. The final blow, the sound of heartbeat stopping and then dropping him into lava. He's dead.

He'll be back in TTT3 as a big reveal because those games are non-canon, but he is super dead.

Kiryu would be awesome and he'd easily fit right into Tekken. I'd much prefer it if they only added fighters from non fighting games so they could adapt them to the gameplay of Tekken, rather than having to use the gameplay mechanics of another series. I'm not a fan of Street Fighters gameplay so Akumas inclusion was kind of lost on me, I just don't find him fun to play with or against because he's so different from all the other fighters, and I'm worried I'd feel the same about the next two guest fighters.

Anyone tried using this controller to play T7? I've been using a Switch Pro controller so far but the dpad isn't quite as good as I'd like. Apparently this one works on both PC and PS4 and is currently pretty cheap so was wondering if it was worthwhile.

Anyone who's been exposed to more technical, more dynamic fighting games will quickly pass on tekken. Other top fighters, namely Street Fighter, KoF and MK/Injustice have advanced impressively in their latest installments; but the relic that is tekken just can't seem to evolve, furthermore many combos can be done simply by hitting 1-button, and the nearly "instant-kill" rage art moves are just laughably broken. Instead of a supplying a proper fighting engine, matches in T7 seem to rely heavily on "who can get their rage move off first". So many elements of the gameplay don't even require any sort of skill. In my book, slow motion over and over again also gets old very quickly. And in the end, it's more of a novelty or gimmick rather than an actual, thought-out fighting game mechanic. But hey, the casual crowd will be pleased!

If you want something a little more "button-masher-friendly," tekken might be your cup of tea.... Key word, might.
