I can see it making a comeback with Halo 6. The Covenant will either be on Cortana's side or be fighting against the Prometheans due to having a new leader, we're returning to a Halo ring, Scarabs and War Sphinxs may play a part, it and all future titles will focus on the Master Chief and due to the simple story, the books and side characters from spin offs (I'm looking at you Halo Wars 2) won't appear in the game. Ander may or may not appear in the game depending on the Halo Wars 2 DLC, Flood could also make an appearance due to their return in Halo Wars 2. I'm hoping we see a Flood Juggernaut, last but not least the Sharquoi could end up joining the Prometheans. I haven't heard anything about Halo 6's campaign and I'm already more interested than I was of Halo 5's. Split screen and lan are coming back, the game will finally come out with all of its features at launch and it will run at native 4K 60fps since it's on Xbox One X. Halo 6 could actually be 343's chosen Halo game.

Except Halo 5 has the best forge in the series, some of the best core gameplay and mechanics, and the novels are actually the best they've ever been in terms of average quality.

Ostensibly it makes autos feel a bit more viable at medium ranges, while still being outclassed by more suitable guns, and it's a feel good button for players used to other FPS games.
Personally I'd like to see it removed due to being not particularly useful H5, but people who claim it's had a cancerous effect on Halo clearly haven't played the fucking game.

I absolutely love how halo 1 armor looks. So bulky but low key on the details, such a good example of distinct super soldier armor like OG doomguy. Props to halo 3 for taking halo 2 armor and tweeking it ever so slightly to find a good balance between the "new" halo 2 armor and halo 1's design.

Because Bungie decided to stop focusing on Chief, fuck over game canon, fuck over gameplay, multiplayer and well everything else, going for that gritty look to look like every other generic FPS on the market instead of just making a good Halo game, 343 took over and brought Chief back while humanizing him but went COD everywhere else.
