Castle In The Darkness is pretty damn good, underrated gem in my opinion.

Hyper Light Drifter wasn't anything to write home about. Very unique, but not particularly fun. I'd recommend you try it out eventually but not necessarily now if you have other stuff to choose from.

Yeah, Dragon's Dogma is great and Grim Dawn is a very competent Diablo-clone. Way better than 3 both mechanics and atmosphere-wise in my opinion, but remember to stop to read the lore if you really wanna enjoy it. It's probably a bland setting if you just skip through that stuff.

I thought Trails in the Sky was incredibly overrated, but it's a comfy experience. Competent at the very least, and doesn't have any of the atrocious tendencies of modern JRPGs. Very oldschool.

Thoughts? Anything I should remove? I'm kind of iffy on Darkest Dungeon since its the most expensive of all the RPG/roguelikes and opinions on it vary greatly.

I also am still considering Distant Worlds: Universe. I've been waiting on its price to drop for a while, but it never goes on sale for more than 50% and its full price hasn't dropped from 60 bucks since it came out, so it will likely never go lower than this.

Also, out of the $20+ games, I'll only buy 1, maybe 2 at most, for now.

I fucking love SOMA and it's story but it's a sort of game you play once or again after a long period of time. It's got a brilliant story but it's a bit of a walking simulator.

Dead Rising is probably the most you can get the bang for your buck if you want to replay and basically dick around. It's got very good replayability. RE0 is a close second, but if you've never played an RE game or had a taste of it, you probably won't like the camera.

It's not different though. It's literally the SAME MAP. Except now you're in a simulation, so you get superpowers that trivialize the entire game. You quite literally fly and sprint faster than the harriers from Saint's Row 3. There is NO REASON to ever enter a car, except in story missions where they take away your powers.

Just don't play it. They don't deserve your money. Play something else, like the Batman franchise, or anything else that isn't a money-grubbing lazy piece of shit. I played through the entire game, frustrated the entire way with how little effort went into it.
