I'm about to finally buy MGR but I have on issue.
I fucking hate Raiden's redesign.
Is it possible to play as MGS2 or MGS4 Raiden during my first playthrough of the game? or are these skins only usable in repeat playthroughs
also Metal Gear Rising thread or whatever

There are DLC costumes. Some come with the game; however, you must purchase them with points earned in the game itself. You likely won't be able to purchase them for a while considering you should get several upgrades and skills unlocked on your first playthrough.

Best you'll get without DLC is his suit from the prologue, and that only unlocks after the first playthrough.
