Shame when the industry is in such a piss poor shape than the only thing to be excited about it remakes

I backed it and so far I am pleased they switched to Unreal Engine 4 from Unity.

Granted, I really wish they would give more info on the progress. They have done a few things recently, but it is mostly pre-production stuff.

Looks bad, sadly. This has killed my hype for SS3. It looks like a generic spaceship corridor game, when system shock was vibrant, funky, and had techno cyberpunk feel. Not generic spacesim survival.

They're fucking it up with rpg elements

hopefully they don't add that garbage leveling system from SS2.

One of the biggest things about SS1 was the freelook, leaning, prone system. Fire fights in SS1 were claustrophobic engagements at point blank around corners. It was a lot of blind firing, breach and clear and SWAT tactics.

It was going full prone to avoid gunfire while shooting a bazooka down a long corridor at massive battlemechs. It was blind firing a full magazine of hornet rounds from your flechette smg into a group of advancing battle hardened cyborgs.
