its not really a concept map since the area you explore in the final game is shown in that map completely untouched, without geographic changes at all. The only change they did was with Altissia, that instead of being in a big continent, it was made smaller and part of a island archipelago.

It literally is a concept map. Tabata even said that map that was shown in that 2014 tech video was an unfinished version of the map, aka it was still a concept map, and we can even see a completely different version of that clay map too.

The final game split this map here >>381624639 into three continents, and the area surrounding Accordo was removed and turned into islands, while the whole left side of the image is niflheim, the area at the top left near the crater is where Tenebrae is. And to the right of insomnia there is now a bunch of small islands. and Accordo was also flipped vertically.
