yes it's really good. i was skeptical when I bought it, but it exceeded my expectations. I'd way it's worth full price easily. lots of collectibles to find, challenges to complete, and the multiple difficulty levels can get very challenging.

I need a good strategy game to play, but I don't know where to turn.

I used to love playing grand strategy games by Paradox, but they just don't do it for me anymore and I'm tired of Paradox's bullshit.

I've tried a few 4x games before, but I don't really enjoy that style of game. What I really don't like about these games is the continuous micro-managing of cities and units. It's fine in the early game when you don't have much, but late into the game, I just don't want to be going through each thing one at a time like that.

I've tried a Total War game but I didn't like it partly for the same concerns as 4x games, but also some things unique to it.

I'm a bit dejected because I feel like strategy games are my thing, but I don't actually enjoy any of the strategy games I've tried anymore.

It's less frustrating when you're just starting out in my opinion. It takes a while to get used to things but losses are less soul-crushing. Getting fucked by RNG just means that you'll have to grind more later on, and the easy mode keeps the difficulty but reduces the grind

the remastered versions run like shit and crash all the time. nearly unplayable. the originals aren't old enough to need remasters in the first place, they still look fine. the only problem i had was the mouse speed in menus was really slow. i'm pretty sure you can get a fix for that though.

i thought the games sucked though. the setting and atmosphere were neat, but the extremely mild rpg elements feel tacked on and add nothing to the game. they needed to go harder into rpg territory like old deus ex, or go full shooter. Infinite was more like a straight shooter and it was better for it. even if the story wasn't the greatest, the gameplay felt a lot better.

they're decent games, and i was happy with getting the 3-pack for $7 a few years back. this sale sucks though, and the cheapest you can get the bundle is $15 - although that does come with the Infinite DLC so maybe it's worth it.

God Eater 2: Rage Burst is pretty damn fun and gives you a lot of bang for your buck. I won't say it's worth its base asking price (50 dollars is kind of up there) but 17 bucks while it's on sale is a steal, especially since you get the first game, God Eater Resurrection, aswell.

The main story'll last you at LEAST 30 hours or so to clear everything even if you try to rush it (for both Resurrection and Rage Burst) and if you're anything like me, you'll spend your time grinding for materials to upgrade your equipment on the side quests which will probably double or even triple your playtime.

The PC port for both games is very good with full keyboard/mouse support and bindings, and the gameplay is a fast paced sort of hunting game, if you've played Monster Hunter it's like that but faster-paced and dare I say, more casual. Your weapon has three main components and can be customized in its entirety to fit the type of playstyle you want, and you can give yourself upgrades and cosmetics for the style points aswell. There's definitely a strange feeling since you don't quite have the sensation of "weight" like in a MH game but it's arcade-y and fun, full of flashy moves and unique weapons. There's also a bullet editor that lets you create custom bullets for your guns to fire, which can do basically anything you want.

For both games the story is pretty nothing-special, but it does have its good moments and characters, and it's not awful enough that you'd want to ignore it.

The games are definitely more fun with friends of course, so I'd recommend them even further if you have a buddy or two willing to play. Even when solo they're still a great time because the AI partners are thankfully very competent and you progress relatively smoothly through the game. Do recommend.

why wouldn't it be? if you don't own the games already though i'd say the valve pack is worth it. the original hl is great, as are both the blue shift and opposing force expansions. same with hl2. pretty much everything in there is great. the old multiplayer mods (cs, dod, tfc, ricochet) are dead as they are like 15 years old at this point, but it comes with csgo which is alive and well, and the left 4 deads are great co-op fun if you have any friends. not to mention both Portals are extremely good games.

i'm kind of amazed that anyone doesn't own all of these at this point, because they're all extremely high quality classics that everyone should play.

now i'm nostalgic for when valve used to make video games.

different guy, but I loved Axiom Verge. I think one thing that might take you a bit off guard with it compared to other metroidvanias is how much it's inspired by the ORIGINAL metroid, and really has no castlevania elements at all.

For the price it's more than justified. It's lacking in weapon variety though but the has the typical collect and spend to upgrade/unlock skills. Focuses on just dodging too and is hella satisfy when you unlock the later skills. The combat is higher in this than... DUST if you've ever played that game.

It also breaks the 4 wall a shit ton just to fuck with the player.
