It's an rpg not for everyone. The models have a wonky 2-D to 3-D anime look. I didn't mind because I liked the characters and there interactions. I hear mixed things about the story but I think it's serviceable, and genuinely believe it ramps up way later in the game. Essentially it just has some pros and cons. Like a really fun action based combat system, great bosses, good ost, and an easy yet effective crafting and interchangable playstyle system. If you can get past a blandish world map and pretty lame dungeon puzzles I would say give it a go. I would recommend the ps3 remastered with the sequel that's also good. It fixes the camera so it doesn't focus on the front person all the time during combat, which is way useful when you play it with friends.
