Why it flopped?
Nobody asked for it.
Zero advertising.
Good fucking game tho (inb4 shitposters who haven't played it).

It was bad.
I'll be honest, I had no idea it was a thing until I saw threads here talking about it a week before release.

It's a good game though

It wasn't muh neon cyberpunk space bounty hunter game that we only saw an e3 bullshot of, but was so bad fucking bethesda had to cancel it for quality reasons

Irrelevant. In order for titles from big publishers to make their money back they need to have full market hype saturation which means a ton of advertising. If you have a good IP then that will be covered on its own through word of mouth. If you have a lukewarm IP that nobody really cared for after the first game you're not going to be able to make a huge success with the sequel unless you invest a ton of money into actual advertisements. That didn't happen. Normies didn't even know it was coming out let alone when. When it came out it didn't blow anyone away. Ergo flop.

It wasn't good enough to overcome its flaws.
