Let's imagine and discuss horrible things that would have happened in another timeline.
>Oblivion is Bethesda's biggest selling game, gets a special edition in 2010 and VR in 2012
>Charles Martinet's premature death prevents Super Mario Odyssey from ever happening
>Red Hot Chili Peppers have their Californication music video turned into a real game and it's absolute dogshit
>E.T. was good
> Assassin's Creed ended at 3 games and has a modest cult following here on /v/ in the vein of New Vegas threads

> Reese's Peices are the highest grossing candy of all time
> They have backpacks, skull caps, and bookbinders
> There's a Reese's Peices movie
>>381600073
that's pretty pathetic
>>381600263
Unless there's big shilling behind, I fail to see how that would work
Not even Coca Cola has its own movie
>>381599553
I don't get it. Oblivion was an enormous commercial success, arguably what put Beth where it is now, it's just that Bethesda's newer games sold even better.
>>381600378
Then maybe there's as much Reese's Peices in movies as here is a come can in movies?
>>381599553
>the wii and xbox kinect were such big successes that every modern game uses motion controls
>>381600378
fucking emojis are getting a movie, it's a possibility
>>381600445
It was, but OP prolly wanted to discuss what if Oblivion got the skyrim treatment because it worked financially
>>381602189
Well, VR just wasn't there at the time.
>>381600631
Except they were successes. Massive successes. The reason that modern games don't use motion controls more is because they're too imprecise, not because they're objectively bad.
>Wii U is a massive success just from Nintendo Land
>Botw, and Odyssey never are cancelled for being too expensive to produce, after the tremendous success of casual stuff with Wii and Wii U, Nintendo officially becomes a casual company and cancels all actual gaming stuff
>E3 2017 is E3 2008 Electric Bungaloo: Wii U Music, Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival 2 (takes over the main series)
>No Odyssey, have New Super Peach U instead, Metroid is officially kill, Nintendo doesn't judge bringing xenoblade overseas to be relevant anymore
>Iwata springs back to life, cancels all Switch projects, nominates Miyamoto to come up with the next iteration of the Wii brand: the Wii UTV: not a console, just a Netflix-like service you pay monthly for accessing a bunch of Nintendo's best games of all times: Wii Sports, NintendoLand, Wii Party. All compatible with Wiimotes and Wii U gamepad, sold seperately.

>New Super Peach U
I'd play it if it was like Super Princess Peach on DS.
>>381603869
Worst timeline here, you get your pink recolored Mario U and you pay full price for it.

>recent legislation in the US and EU has made emulators and modding illegal
