Starfox was just a railshooter, then disappeared.
Then came back as half a railshooter, then disappeared.
Then came back as an adventure game, and people raged. Then disappeared.
Then it came back again and it sucked, and because it was post 2003 internet, people were able to slam it and voice their opinion and discontent harder and louder than ever before.

The only reason Starfox made it this far was Starfox was one of the first 3D games and on the SNES so it was "impressive", while at the same time it was only Nintendo and Sega in the market.
Starfox 64 was meh, and again the only people in the market was Nintendo and Playstation, Sega was dying because the shitbrick saturn.
They brought back Starfox for gamecube and people didn't like it really. Furbait Krystal was their saving grace.
The only thing that kept Starfox alive until Starfox Zero was Smash Bros as he was a beast of a player.

So basically, Starfox has no games, and should have died after Starfox Adventures.

Open "World" Sci-Fi RPG with Predator Prey Humor / Political undertones. You piggy back off Zootopia and are just enough different from Mass Effect to both get their audience and please the people who DO know what they want. More plot, more diverse gameplay mechanics that are actual gameplay and not gimmicks. This is the time in the industry to do it.

I'm still waiting on a good Star Fox game.
I was waiting on Shadows of Lylat to be released. That game looked cool but it got cancelled.
I tried Star Fox Command and I didn't like it.

Adventures was alright.

I think the last Star Fox game I can remember having fun playing was Star Fox Assault. Other than that, it's been shit.

How fucking hard can it be for them to make another good Star Fox? They try to add all of these new features to these new Star Fox games that end up making the game shit. They just need to stick with Star Fox 64's design and controls and just improve the graphics and make new, different levels

I played SF64 before SNESFox though, my first time playing the original was only about three years ago.

SF64 is overall much easier than SF1. Voice lines were annoying, and the cinematics either dragged or were nowhere near as interesting to have to sit through for a game that doesn't have that long of gameplay and is meant to be replayed. Example, the opening scenes for both games, SF1 gives a cool opening while also cutting to the chase. If I have to hear Fox talk about the G-Diffuser one more time I'll wanna neck myself. All-range mode was a mistake and poorly executed. Like most N64 games the camera is shit and all-range mode slows the game down.

So you prefered the yammering gibberish instead of actually voiced dialogue? The lines could be pretty cheesy but Wolfs english VA was so on point. Most of the VAs were at least decent. Androsses was superb. I think SF64's infrequent cutscenes were pretty well executed. They were atmospheric and set tones pretty well. All-Range mode was pretty shit, i'll give you that.

Above all else, for me, Starfox for SNES is just too barebones. It's a neat prototype with fantastic tech for its time and a solid world to build upon. As far as difficulty goes, I can't really say. The minimalist 3D graphics were very disorienting to me and were unpleasent to scan through. That aside, I don't think I found the game all that difficult...
