I still enjoy video games but a general cynicism coats my perception of most new releases. Hyped for Mario Odyssey thought and Zelda was really good too.

About the same for me 2011/2012

They were never ever made for you. You were to be cycled out with another child once you reached adulthood. You are defective and broken and never cycled to anything else better or worse. Stagnant. Smelly. Belly full of tendies and broken dreams

How much I enjoy vidya is dependent on how busy my life is. If I'm working full-time and going to school, I love playing video games. If I'm NEET, I get bored with every game I play no matter how good it is

When I realized it was keeping me from achieving other more important things in life. I'm not the kind of person who can 'just play a bit after you did everything else in the day'. If I have access to it, I abuse it.

Same. I still play from time to time but I limit what I play by some artificial constraints, not necessarily because I don't think I'll enjoy some things but because it helps me get most bang for buck or because some games are more addicting than actually fun.

>>381592097
This. And you might be one of those unlucky few that stops enjoying moe, in which case you are really fucked because that's all that comes out nowadays.

anon if you play the same games over and over of course you will get out of it's target it called aging
and only book seems to really age over the years
video games just stay the same sequel after sequel only few of them actually mature

Years ago. I pretty much just replay the few games I always have fun playing. Otherwise I either watch other people play them on streams or just read about them on /v/ and such.

But it's not just a video game thing. I haven't enjoyed much of anything lately.
>>
>>381592841
i got tired of anime
but good anime is just good anime and it still enjoy it
anything with harem or schools is unwatchable for me though
toradora being the exception
i like anime with closure and these are rare as fuck

I still enjoy video games but I struggle to enjoy /v/ with all these faggy threads popping up. If you wanna talk about feels instead of Vidya then post in r9k and leave the vidya board for people who like vidya. You might as well go to /s/ and say you're not attracted to women.
>>
>>381591103
I don't know. It can't just be that I'm getting old, because I can still have fun with something like MGS3 or FFX and enjoy the crap out of it, but very few new games are actually enjoyable. In fact I can't remember the last modern game that I definitely enjoyed and didn't have to force myself to finish.

JRPGs in particular used to be great, what the fuck happened? Now they're all PS Vita tier empty worlds and shit with nothing but boring grinds.
>>
Easy question.

About 10-11 years ago, when depression crippled on me like a swarm of South-East African ants.

At first, it was invisible... and I just thought I was growing older, and that it was normal to stop loving video games. Then the same thing happened to Television... to movies... to tv shows... to music... to school... to friends... to family... to sunny days, etc. I found it weird after a while when I realized that the other 13 years old kids were not EMPTY like me.

This lasted--and still does--for TEN years. I feel like an emotionless robot, and to be honest with you, every birthday I wished it would be my last year on this planet. While every person in town was celebrating New Year and all the good things to come, do you wanna know what I was thinking?

Yes. I was hoping to get a heart attack or die in my sleep during the year.

Why didn't commit suicide yet, you may ask?

Because I know it would hurt my parents! So, I have to wait until they die... so I can finally have the chance to feel the metal taste of my dad's hunting rifle.

Hopefully, I'll see you on the other side soon, my anonymous friends.

Peace.

Something to do while I eat or when I just feel like relaxing. It's no different to me than watching a movie or tv show. Relax

cya
>>
>>381593798

Take meds then
I mean how much worse can it even get
>>
>>381593697
The reason for that is because a lot of them are ports from Vita, and a lot of devs who make JRPGs for Sony platforms feel like their game needs to be cross-playable on Vita, PS3, and PS4. So the end product is always limited by the weakest link, the Vita.

PS3/Vita cross-play ruined JRPGs, in my opinion.

>>
>>381594310
It's too late for meds.

Imagine if I take them, and they miraculously work... I think I would kill myself right away, with no hestitation.

Sounds crazy, right?

Let me explain. If those meds work, and make me normal... I will realize that I have just lost TEN fucking years of my life, that I could have spent having friends, college degrees, a car, girlfriend, money, fun with family, etc.

That would DESTROY me, and I would probably not wait for my parents to die, and just jump off the first bridge in sight.

Right now, I am numb. I don't really give a fuck if I wasted many years of my life. In fact, I would even mind if you told me I would go to prison for the rest of my life... Just like a robot.
>>
>>381595049
The guy yelling and screaming for people he doesn't want here to leave is the pathetic one actually. Go play a video game or something and cool down, sperg.
>>
I never really stopped. I just put off playing. I do this with everything. Movies, shows, games, books, exercise, cooking, cleaning. "I'll do it later" has become my mantra. All I do is post on 4chan.
>>
>>381595590
have fun with your """"""'depression""""""""""""'', faggot.
>>
>>381595590
He has a point. Why the fuck are they here? I don't like cars so I avoid /o/, it's pretty fucking simple.
>>
I always feel that the anticipation is way more fun than the actual experience of gameplay. Like, i really enjoy imagining creating a character, doing all adventures etch.. But then when I'm there playing it feels underwhelming and almost like a waste of time, stupid pixels simulation etc. I enjoy more imagining how it will be than actually playing.. Anyone else gets this feel?
>>
>>381595830
I'm working through it, but thanks anyway tough guy
>>
>>381591103
i still enjoy games but any anxiety and bad thoughts hamper the enjoyment.
>>
Stipid poopee the frag
>>
>>381597557
SAME
but another part of the reason is because I learned about skyboxes and the inner workings and it just killed the whole 'oh what's behind here there's more to see?' Kind of feeling like when I was younger 21 now and am missing those days a lot idk
