Well, just off the top of my head, DKCTF was pretty much a perfect platformer. I mean, not everyone cares for 2D platformers in this day and age, and the game got some serious casual bias because it was too difficult for most of them, but I don't consider difficulty a fault. Seriously I cannot fault the game. My biggest complaint is the long loading times which is hardly a complaint

Water levels in that game are fucking cancer.
The final boss is even less satisfying than BotW's.
Diddy is useless compared to Dixie anywhere except aforementioned water levels.
Still uses an archaic lives system, when you're either going to have 90+ lives or close to 0 with nothing in between, simply because of a few brutal optional levels.

Every game has faults. Whether your personal bias allows you to take note of them or not is completely up to the individual, and it's simply a matter of correlation that BotW, a game which was hyped to the extreme for 3 years, would incite /v/ into deliberately trying to find as many things wrong with it as possible to push back against the positivity towards it. Frozen Dong was an incredibly minor release by comparison, so when you go in with no expectations and get an exceptional game, of course you're going to overlook its faults.

Front and back you know exactly what is going to happen. DONE BEFORE is an understatment. The story is so done before that the game is already finished in your mind, which means there is no story at all. It is a video game that is 'going through the motions' its basically one giant flash back of a game, there is no need to play it, its a half made game.

Odyssey is just the open world meme being applied to another Nintendo franchise. I guarantee they do the same thing with Metroid. Nintendo gave up on trying to make a solid game at this point. They only care about quick cash now.
