I've only ever played EDF single player and I generally see it as a gloriously budget cathartic release sort of thing. It's the kind of low budget approach that's charming and being able to kill giant insects and level cities to protect the Earth is worth the cash IMO. The biggest problem with MGSV is that there are so few places where you need to stealth inside a building. Any other time if you get caught and you don't want to shoot everything to death you can just walk away and nobody is going to stop you. Honestly, no. I really liked the first one but I'd recommend against 3. By the end battles turn into spamming magic so you don't get stunlocked and the AI isn't too smart.

The game is pretty mediocre all around which isn't a bad thing really, but what really kills it is very frequent backtracking, with no fast travel and long and frequent load times.

It's really long and lots of grinding though so it'll last you a long time. Even longer if you do the post game stuff or go for the plat. DLC isn't crucial. If you're still interested then watch some gameplay of it.

They're free with ps plus on the Singapore PS store and I have some money left over from wallet cards that I could use to get them for a month, otherwise I'll probably just use it on a PS one classic.

A lot of people will tell you GZ is better than TPP (it's not, but it's still a very good map). It took me about 8 hours to 100% so you might as well. DE doesn't add anything new so if you can find GZ + TPP at a cheaper price than DE there's no harm in buying them separately.

PS4 online being paid has actually taken a large weight off of my shoulders because I no longer have to even think about if I want to platinum a game with multiplayer trophies in it. It isn't even a question anymore.

Getting the platinum in Red Dead Redemption was a pain because of all of those multiplayer trophies, especially forcing you to get level 50. The only reason I was able to do that is because of that bug that happened one night where you could insta-clear a hideout and repeat it earning the XP as fast as the system loaded. It still took hours.
