I barely play hack and slash, but once you get past the few early longass cutscenes its pretty good. Bosses rape your asshole if your dodging isnt on point and there is a pretty simple but neat combo system where you combine kicks and punches. But buttonmashing will really prevent you from going all the way. There is also a combo meter and if you cant avoid damage well and dont keep combo chains going the game will give you a shitty grade. So getting good makes the game respect you.
