Remember when there was a good reason to preorder a game?
I remember when there were good games to preorder.
There never is.
It literally presents no benefit unless you have the "petulant child" mindset and are neurologically incapable of waiting.

There was a time when it made sense, back in the PS1 & 2 era...and even then it was just for LEs or low print copy games like obscure JRPGs as some local chains won't stock it unless there's a pre-order.

There is no reason to not pre-order, if you were going to buy it anyway. It's just putting money down that you wouldve paid anyway

Pretty much LEs, and Nintendo games if you want to play them on launch day.
I preorder a few months out and chip away at the cost so it's paid by the time it comes out.

This. The never pre-order people are retards who fall for fake marketing like Ubisoft and now try to avoid getting burned by simply not pre-ordering instead of not being a retard.
I remember when preorders used to mean you got to cut 10 bucks off the price. Never noticed it disappear.

I have no reason to pre-order since its been like ten years since Ive seen a new game run out of stock. Exclusive dlc becomes available after a month or two, sometimes for free.
Plus I download my games cuz pcmusturdrace

It happened with breath of the wild. Although it was back in stock after a week or so.

Last game I pre-ordered was MGS Legacy Collection, even got that nice artbook too.

>Pre-order game.
>Get a never-before released second version of a classic game.
Pic very related. I remember that you'd at least get a little artbook or a trinket for pre-ordering. Now you get nothing.
