There's so many broken combos, its hard to be bad at TA2. Although for what its worth, Dual Wield is a terrible skill outside of speed learning new moves or using it with Magic Frenzy.

Once you get access to the good decent ranged abilities the game becomes incredibly easy, I think the toughest part of the game is the Antlion boss.

For some reason they decided to let Auctions give you the best gear in the game and really early too so just travel the world doing a few runs from them and you'll have the easiest time imaginable.

As far as minmaxing goes, you should probably recruit for and reset for speed on recruits but only really on recruitment, you can get like 30 more speed at the cost of a small amount of useful stats.

That's because you get like 60 XP a quest with a little bonus, start with lvl 30 max and less if you're overleveled, so if you dont do much lower ranked quest the level gap between you and your recruits will never close, and levels mean quite a bit in this game. Added to this is you need to let them fester a bit after recruitment so they get some AP for abilities so the gap will widen until they're useful enough to pick anyways.

You can beat the Antlion if you have a bunch of characters with counter and park them next to him. His AoE attack makes him eat up to like 6 counter attacks every time.

Except that critical hits are completely random and are a guarenteed knockback. I think maybe you can technically push an enemy up against the boundary of the map and it wont count but that would require a frankly absurd amount of AI manipulation for every single unit.

You know Marche might be right and all that, but if I was in Mewt's position I would have acted the same way. I'm sure.

There are plenty of ways to win against monster when facing that dmg2:animals law like cards, knockback them, parley, rockseal, nightmare, cupid, you name it.

Also puting your units with knockbacks away from battle can be that hard, just use ranged units ffs.
