Left has too thick black outline, right on the other hand is missing it entirely. Right would be objectively better if it had it, just not as thick as left.

Characters look good in the right, but in those top two images, the castle is made much more generic.

They are better from graphical standpoint, it's just artistically they fucked up by removing the black outline.

Either full 2d or 3d, if you're gonna keep the camera the same as a 2d game in a 3d game it looks stupid, and there's maybe only two games in the world that are 2d in a 3d space and they aren't that good either. This just seems lazy, since they already have those models from the other newer games

Bowser looks pretty damn ugly in the original Superstar Saga. For a major character, that does stick out a lot. He didn't look good till Bowser's Inside Story and onwards in this series which the remake id taking off of.
