anyone got in the beta? how is this game.
never played TSW but liked the sound of the premise.
havent play a mmo in years so i figured i just jump blindly into this one since its coming out.

Maybe? The original was interesting enough to bother playing through single player and from what I understand it's a brand new campaign.

The new combat looks really shitty. The weapon quirks are terrible RNG fests and all it does is give you extra damage except for elemental/blood magic. It's incredibly disappointing that the hammer skill is just the one crit trait but you have to build it up over a much longer period of time. And it still looks like a tab target game even though they added the reticule. As an aside the animations are still beyond terrible.

I'm going to try it at least just to see what changed and if the passive skills make any difference at all. I hope after all this time they added some more enemies because I'm tired of fighting the same 10 dudes over and over forever.

Having played the closed beta, it's okay I guess. I'm still on the fence about having to level up weapons and shit with currency, but eh. Sitting here mashing F5 on the account creation screen hoping the fucking thing opens soon.

considering funcom couldn't even send me my beta invite email successfully, i'm thinking it's amateur hour over there.
