I would fall into depression if Metroid Prime 4 was cancelled. One of the last memories I have of my dad was trying to teach him the controls for Metroid Prime 3 when it was new.

When Prime 4 was announced I actually teared up at the thought of a real new Metroid game. This video game series means a lot to me.

If you know anything about video games and are not an idiot, it's pretty obvious this game is gonna get delayed. If it was far along enough in development to be gameplay-showable, they absolutely would have put some metroid prime gameplay in the otherwise anemic Nintendo press conference.

Why the fuck would they need to "learn their lesson"? They pulled this shit with Zelda and its sales figures turned out fine.

It's way better for the company PR to let people believe they're getting metroid next year, as it helps the switch library not look so dry.
