It's very good mang, has made me both happy and upset at various times with its layouts and difficulty levels.
Felt weird at first since it has different rules and mechanics than the other games. Starting maps are pretty simple and wide open at first like you say but then they start to vary more and more plus terrain bonuses play a bigger role here. Really like that you get two play more than one army like in RD but here you can switch back and forth as you please. Art and music are both great and there's some bullshit going on in the dungeons and teleporting witches be damned.
Probably one of my top 5 FE games so far, should have bought the collectors edition from you since I had to settle for the basic one.

The ideal gauntlet units have been and always will be Reinhard/Hector/Azura/archer. Using bonus units runs the massive risk of getting a shit team and losing a gauntlet match which you can't afford since you can only do them once every half hour.

Well. I already got a decent 5* Karel so her weapon isn't all that useful. Grindng is pretty easy anyway so her C skill doesn't help me all that much.

In the end, I fed her A ability (sturdy blow 1+2) to my Young Tiki. A +4 atk for -2 def trade sounds worth it for Young Tiki since her def and res stats are already real solid. (And she has swordbreaker 3 ontop so she only really has to worry about blues and neutrals that would kill her outright anyway regardless of def or res)

If I 5* her 4* adult form I have I could give her lightning breath too and it wouldn't diminish her offensive atk below 50 either.

Awakening would have been better received had it come after Fates, desu. A pile of shit is more appealing than that game.

Fates' dub was so fucking awful it prompted me to hack my 3DS for the undub. I usually have a pretty good tolerance for shitty dubs, but Fates' was something else--I want to strangle the bitches that voiced Felicia, Setsuna, Hinoka and Camilla. The only good English VA in the entire game was Arthur.

Are you referring to the fan translation? That died ages ago. They finished Birthright and Nohr and most of Revelation, but with a bunch of typos and other errors like "(lol"

Undub just means replacing the English audio with Japanese audio. The translation, censored face-petting etc stays but at least the voices are tolerable. To be fair, the story is beyond saving anyways so you're not missing out on anything.
