How to get into fighting games as a complete beginner?

Learn the basics, Skullgirls has a very good tutorial that you can apply in almost every fighting game.

Choose a game that feels confortable to play.

Find a main, learn combos, punish and neutral with the character.

Fight online, or go to locals if you can, even if you go 0-2 in all matches you will learn lots of stuff by just asking.

Just pick any fighting u that interestu the most but dont pick Guilty Gear i think thats more for adanced people though

Tekken would be agreat starter but if u are super retarded (like a someone who rarely play vidyas) id say go for Injustice 2

no op but ive been doing this for about a year with sm4sh. I really want to try and improve my game play but idk whats from preventing me from getting better. I joined these smash groups with some pretty good players in it. But im constantly getting bodied.
