if I remember correctly, it gives you increased damage and speed, which is a huge advantage.
It's 'downside' is that it reduces dodge chance to zero, but since his whole mechanic revolves around taking damage, it still ends up helping you.
He still has the usual affliction shit, like randomly raising people's stress, taking his own turns, moving to the front, and randomly hitting your own teammates.
Still, sometimes the benefits outweigh the harm

It's true that even if you do everything right and make all of the right calls you can still end up losing progress, but you can heavily mitigate the randomness by gaining knowledge about the game.

Don't listen to the other cunt, you can control the RNG just fine by gaining good knowledge about the game. Maybe your first playthrough will be a bit hit and miss, but the 2nd one you'll be doing great mate
