Never finished the first game of this series. Finished first game in starforce. Should I continue?

you're better off skipping the first game and starting with 2 or 3. 1 is a mess and the only important plot detail you have to know is that Megaman is actually Lan's dead brother, Hub.

If you're more than halfway into it, yes. If not just skip to 2. Having played 1 last in the series myself, I enjoyed it more than other games in the series (4-5), but it might be because I was already a fan by that point.
