Was this game good?

The battle system is shit as fuck and bad designed, but as a whole it's a very fun game to play. The first 2 paper Mario will always be the best ones, but this one is definitely not as bad a people are saying.

Being the swan song to the Wii U, I feel it encapsulated the system perfectly: disappointment.

There was so much potential. The game was beautiful, but the gameplay was god awful.

It was fun
the koopalings were fun
the jokes were good
coloring in spots when revisiting a level for 100% completion was ok
Cutouts were kind of dumb
i wish there were more recurring NPC's, though the game does have at least a smattering of non-Toad NPC's
