What does /v/ think about this game?

Pretty good.
2 improved on everything but people hate it cause they think it was just the same thing.

Pretty great, desu. Fucking beautiful soundtrack, fun level design and physics, neat enemy designs. Main gripe? Bowser boss fight sucks shit

the stages themselves are too linear and getting launched from area to area gets old.

i feel like sunshine has more replayability even though the blue coins suck.

Nah, 2 is not as good because they gimped the gravity mechanic. It was THE central gameplay point of Galaxy, and it's not nearly as prevalent in Galaxy 2, though in technical terms Galaxy has better level design.

But even more, the atmosphere in Galaxy was amazing. It really felt like you were travelling the infinite depths of space. Galaxy 2 feels more like if 3D Land was in the sky.

One of my all time favorite games
