Is the game good? I dont care about story but is the gameplay any good? I know they removed the black bars. Is it like re4 or dead space? Is it more action or more stealth like?

I'm a little sceptical, they had a trouble with TEW1 which was linear as fuck so i'm not sure how TEW2 will turn out since its larger now (i guess similar to SH1 and 2).

supplies start off limited and you have to play careful at first but in the later city levels more enemies come in swarms, you can upgrade your weapons like in RE4 as well. kind of goes back to regular survival horror towards the end though. the crossbow is a fun weapon.

I'm hyped. I loved the first game. I don't understand what people don't enjoy about it. It definitely took a bit of a dive after chapter 10 but overall it's a very solid horror game.

Akuma difficulty was great too. 346 deaths later I finally beat it

Though I was kind of disappointed that after all the speculation over who the nurse really was she was just another disappearance case that wasn't really connected to the protagonist or main villain.

OP here. I just wanted to talk about it but no one makes threads on it ever. Admittedly I have made a couple threads in the past.

I'm playing the first one blind right now. This game is surprisingly hitting most of my horror soft spots and I thought there would be way more jump scares, yet there have only been like two and I'm on chapter 4. The art direction is fucking stellar. Also, I'm convinced casual mode shouldn't have even been put in the game because the absurd amount of ammo they give you in that mode takes away the frailty you should feel. So yeah safe to say 2 looks great.
